The mission is simple. The impact immense. Caitlin’s Smiles is dedicated to sharing smiles and laughter with children facing chronic or life-threatening illnesses. Founded in 2004 in memory of Caitlin Hornung, the non-profit organization distributes arts and crafts kits to hospitals, giving kids an outlet for creativity and the means to heightened feelings of self-worth. Volunteers are the lifeblood of Caitlin’s Smiles. With only a handful of staff, we depend on the good people who volunteer their time in many ways. We have hundreds of volunteers doing a variety of tasks, allowing us to reach children in over 90 locations in nine states. Without our volunteers, Caitlin’s Smiles would not exist.
