Guests must be at least 16 years old. There is no upper age limit.
How old must the guests be?
Do the men have to wear Tuxedos or suits?
No, but it is a formal event. Men may wear nice dress slacks and a dress shirt. If you have sensory issues and can only wear certain clothes, you may still attend in whatever makes you comfortable.
When are dress days and may I keep the dress?
Dress days are Friday, January 31st from 6pm-9pm or Saturday February 1st from 9am-noon. Alterations will be performed on site and you may keep the dress.
Can I wear the same dress as last year?
Yes. You may also wear any nice dress or pantsuit. If you have sensory issues and can only wear certain clothes, you may still attend in whatever makes you comfortable.

What is being served for dinner?
Chicken and Beef, Mashed Potatoes, corn/veggie, rolls, salad, ice cream Sundaes.
May I sit with my friends?
Due to limited spacing at the event, we will make every effort to honor requests made by guests but we are limited as to the number of people per table. You may move around after dinner and visit with anyone you choose. We cannot honor seating requests made by volunteers and guest buddies.
What should volunteers wear?
Clothing requirements are listed on the volunteer website next to the position for which you volunteered. This is a formal occasion and many volunteers need to dress formally. Servers wear black pants and white shirt.
I cannot show up at the time listed. What should I do?
Volunteers need to be at their position at the time stated. Guests begin to arrive at 4:30 for hair and make up. You might consider a different position if you cannot be on time.
Do I have to attend the Buddy training?
If you volunteered to be a buddy and you are NOT a professional who works directly with people with special needs or you have not been a buddy before, then you MUST attend one Buddy Training session.
If you have been a buddy before, you do not have to attend training again. If any other volunteers would like to attend a training session, that is great. Just show up!
Where is Buddy Training?
Trainings are held at Vibrant – a Christian Church on Lambs Gap Road. Training takes about an hour. This years buddy trainings are Jan 19 or 26 at 1:00pm in the youth room at Vibrant Lambs Gap campus. (1775 Lambs Gap Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050)
